Christy Knowings, the actress and comedian best known for her work on Nickelodeon’s hit sketch-comedy series All That, has died at the age of 46.
Knowings reportedly suffered a severe asthma attack on August 7 that led to serious complications and brain damage. She was hospitalized in the Los Angeles area and placed on life support. After several days, her family made the heartbreaking decision to remove her from life support on August 11.
Remembered for ‘All That’
Knowings joined All That in 1997 and became a familiar face to a generation of Nickelodeon viewers. She appeared in more than 30 episodes across three seasons, sharing the screen with stars including Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, Kel Mitchell and Nick Cannon.
One of her most memorable performances was in the “Whateverrr!” sketch alongside Amanda Bynes. She was also known for her hilarious portrayal of Gloria Bankhead, an over-the-top character inspired by Martha Stewart.
A Talented Performer
Beyond All That, Knowings continued working in entertainment. She appeared on Sesame Street alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings, and also had a role in the 2009 film Mother and Child.
Her career showcased her talents as an actress, comedian, singer and dancer.

Kenan Thompson remembered his longtime co-star as an incredibly funny person and expressed his love and condolences to her family. Other members of the All That family have also shared memories of the performer.
