Elon Musk Issues Chilling Warning: Exposing Corruption Could Cost Him His Life

Tech mogul Elon Musk, currently serving as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under former President Donald Trump’s administration, has made startling claims about the extent of corruption in Washington, D.C.

In a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, Musk suggested that digging too deeply into governmental misconduct could have fatal consequences for him.

“If I really start exposing the corruption in D.C., there’s a high chance I’ll get ass, assinated,” Musk said during the interview. “It goes way beyond insider trading. That part is actually traceable. But what’s happening behind the scenes—how they’re acquiring wealth—is much more insidious.”

When Rogan asked about the methods being used, Musk paused before replying, “This is the kind of stuff that’s going to get me killed. I’m not exactly increasing my lifespan by talking about it. I was supposed to go back to D.C.—how am I going to survive? This could absolutely get me killed.”

He added, “Honestly, I have to be cautious. If I push too hard against the corruption, I might not make it.”

Musk pointed to prominent political figures, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, alleging they’ve used privileged access to consistently outperform the market—beating even benchmarks like the S&P 500.

According to Musk, the threats he’s received in recent years have been more frequent and severe than ever before.

During the conversation, Musk and Rogan also criticized the role of NGOs, describing them as “money-printing machines for the elite.” Musk alleged that many nonprofits are founded with polished branding and used to lobby politicians—ultimately funneling billions in taxpayer dollars to their backers.

As head of DOGE, Musk says his team has already proposed $150 billion in budget cuts. DOGE’s mission is to review inefficient or politically motivated government programs, including diversity initiatives. While the office lacks enforcement power, its recommendations could shape future policy—especially as the House considers nearly $1 trillion in budget reductions, a plan backed by Trump.

Many see Musk’s statements as both bold and dangerous. His claims underscore growing public concerns about ethical misconduct in government and a system where those in power appear to profit from the very laws they craft—raising serious questions about the state of democracy.
