Back in 2009, Nadya Suleman gained global recognition as ‘Octomom’ when she gave birth to octuplets, the world’s first surviving set. Prior to this milestone, Nadya was already a mother of six.

She explored unconventional avenues such as a nude photoshoot, brief forays into the adult entertainment industry, participating in celebrity boxing matches, and attempting to trademark the moniker “Octomom” for commercial use.

By 2013, Nadya chose to step out of the limelight. Reflecting on her decision, she shared with People in 2016, “There was definitely a catalyst—my girls, particularly my oldest daughter Amerah… After I had observed my daughter beginning to emulate me, I saw her going down that same potentially destructive path, and I realized at that moment I’d rather be homeless in my van with all 14 kids than continuing down this path. It was not what I wanted for my children.”

This year marked a significant milestone as the octuplets—Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Josiah, and Makai—celebrated their 15th birthday. Nadya commemorated the occasion with a throwback photo of the siblings marking their first birthday.
While Nadya rarely shares glimpses of her children’s lives, she occasionally provides updates. When her octuplets entered eighth grade, she posted a photo of them, praising their kindness, respectfulness, and helpfulness to peers and educators. Addressing critics, she also emphasized respecting her older children’s privacy preferences.
