After the unexpected and tragic passing of Rick Harrison’s son, Adam, the Pawn Shop’s prominent figure speaks out by sharing a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.
Adam, aged 39, passed away due to an overdose in Las Vegas on Friday, leaving his family completely devastated and stunned.
Expressing his emotions, Rick wrote alongside an image of himself with Adam at a bar, “You will always hold a special place in my heart! I cherish you Adam. 💔”
Beforehand, a spokesperson for the family, Laura Herlovich, confirmed Adam’s dea-th to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
“The passing of Adam has deeply saddened our family. We request for privacy as we mourn his departure,” the statement conveyed.
During an interview with Fox News Digital, Rick disclosed that fentanyl was the direct cause of Adam’s demise.
“Indeed, Adam’s demise was a result of a fentanyl overdose,” the reality television personality stated. “The crisis involving fentanyl in this nation needs to be treated with more gravity. It appears to be effortlessly pouring across the borders without much action being taken. We must strive for improvement.”
Fans, as well as several of Rick’s famous acquaintances, promptly shared messages of sympathy.
“My deepest condolences, my friend,” mentioned Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.
Adam’s sibling, Corey Harrison, also paid tribute to his departed brother on Instagram by posting an old childhood photo of them in a bathtub.
“I will forever cherish our memories together. Rest in peace, my beloved brother,” he captioned the photograph.
Adam was Rick Harrison’s second offspring from his initial marriage to Kim Harrison. Rick later tied the knot with his second spouse with whom he shares a son, Jake.

Although viewers often witnessed Rick and Corey managing the Gold & Silver Pawn and making appearances on the television program, Adam was not as actively involved, despite reports indicating that he did collaborate with his father.
The data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention depicts that overdose fatalities, including those from synthetic opioids, surged by 56.6% from January 2020 to 2021.
The Drug Enforcement Agency categorizes fentanyl as a Schedule II controlled substance “that is akin to morphine but nearly 100 times more potent.” Depending on an individual’s physiology, even two milligrams, which is equivalent to less than a grain of salt, can prove to be lethal.
Our sympathies and prayers are with the Harrison family during this trying time.
May Adam rest in peace.
