The Frightening Consequence of a Terrible Mistake -A Woman unable to close her eyes

Many individuals are willing to take significant measures to enhance their appearance, leading to the widespread practice of cosmetic surgeries across the globe.

Regrettably, these procedures do not always yield successful outcomes and can result in lasting damage and disfigurement to the face.

The case of Yulia Tarasevich, a former runner-up in the miss Russia beauty competition, serves as a stark example of a plastic surgery operation gone awry.

When opting for cosmetic enhancements, Yulia selected a top-tier facility and consulted with what she perceived to be the most skilled surgeon for the task. She paid $4,000 for the treatment she underwent in Krasnodar, Russia, according to reports from East2West News.

Tragically, the outcome for the former beauty queen, now 43, was disastrous.

During an interview with Channel 1, as cited by the New York Post, Yulia expressed that the surgeon had transformed her “beautiful, healthy face” into a nightmare.

“I approached them with a lovely, healthy face. I simply wished to correct some minor aging-related issues,” said Yulia, a mother of two. “However, I ended up losing my physical well-being.”

The surgical procedures she underwent included a facelift, blepharoplasty to remove excess eyelid skin, and cheek fat reduction. Unfortunately, the outcome left her “disfigured.”

Subsequently, several emergency corrective surgeries were necessary to prevent necrosis – the death of cells in body tissues, from affecting her eyes, which she was unable to close at the time.

“I have scars on my cheeks from when they removed all my tissue,” she informed Channel 1, as per the New York Post. “My eyes won’t close, and my ability to smile has been compromised. I can’t raise my upper lip, and one side of my face is non-functional.”

“I underwent the operation quietly, firstly because all my tests were clear,” she remarked. “Secondly, I had undergone plastic surgery previously, a successful rhinoplasty, without any complications.”

Yulia alleged that the initial surgeries resulted in her developing scleroderma, an uncommon genetic disorder characterized by skin hardening. She filed a lawsuit against the two surgeons, Dr. Andrey Komarov and Dr. Omar Khaled, accusing them of negligence.

However, she did not provide any evidence to substantiate her claim of suffering from the disease.

“I underwent the operation quietly, primarily due to the clear test results. Additionally, my previous rhinoplasty procedure went smoothly, devoid of any genetic issues,” stated the Russian beauty queen.

“The blame for the consequences was solely placed on me by the surgeons,” she added. “They absolved themselves of all responsibility for disfiguring my face. I opted to pursue legal action.”

The corrective treatments cost Yulia $27,000. Dr. Omar Khaled downplayed the figure as “exaggerated,” but the Russian Investigative Committee commenced an inquiry into the practices of the two surgeons.

“An expert medical evaluation has been scheduled to determine the extent of the health damage, and potential additional impacted patients receiving substandard services at this facility are being identified,” spokesperson Anna Pushkina conveyed. “The investigation is ongoing in this criminal case.”

Yulia expressed her appreciation to her supporters.

“Hello, my dear friends. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who are standing by me. My deepest gratitude to all of you,” she penned.

Following a thorough investigation, Dr. Andrey Komarov was charged by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Krasnodar Territory for the procedure that caused severe harm to Yulia.

The office declared that he provided services that did not meet the required standards for consumer health and safety.

If convicted, he could face up to 6 years in prison and be compelled to pay a $5,000 fine.

Furthermore, the doctor is facing a civil lawsuit as Yulia sued him for the emotional distress she endured post-surgery. The asymmetry of her face rendered her unable to close her eyelids or smile.

We sincerely hope that she receives the justice she deserves.
