Renowned actress Sandra Bullock sadly parted ways with her long-time companion, Bryan Randall, following a challenging 3-year bout with ALS.
The heartbreaking news of his unexpected demise was formally announced by his family, who issued a heartfelt statement that conveyed, “It is with profound sorrow that we inform you of Bryan Randall’s peaceful departure on August 5th, culminating his courageous 3-year struggle against ALS.
“Bryan consciously chose to keep his battle with ALS private, and we, who cherished him deeply, respected his decision wholeheartedly.”
The statement further expressed: “We convey our sincere appreciation to the steadfast medical experts who navigated us through the intricacies of this malady, and to the exceptional nurses who became an indispensable part of our lives, often sidelining their own families to support ours. During this period, we humbly request privacy as we grieve and endeavor to come to terms with the painful reality of bidding adieu to Bryan.”
Bullock’s sibling, Gesine Bullock-Prado, paid homage to Randall in an Instagram post where she also divulged the actress’s final moments with her departed partner, thereby leaving fans in a state of profound sadness.

“I firmly believe that Bry has discovered the finest fishing location in heaven and is already casting his bait into bustling rivers teeming with salmon,” Gesine remarked, sharing a snapshot of Randall taken on Monday, August 7.
“ALS is a harsh affliction, yet there is solace in knowing that he received top-notch care from my incredible sister and the team of nurses she assembled to assist her in tending to him at their residence,” Gesine proceeded. “Rest peacefully, Bryan.”
Bullock and Randall crossed paths when he was engaged as a photographer for her son’s birthday celebration in January 2015. Their romantic involvement commenced a few months later and not long after, convinced of their compatibility, they made their inaugural appearance together on the Red Carpet.
Despite being recognized as a figure who seldom discloses details about her personal life, the Ocean 8 luminary candidly discussed her beau in a Red Table Talk segment, revealing Randall as the “darling of [her] existence.”
She also commended their blended family, confiding that at times, she wishes she and her children shared the same complexion. “There are instances where I yearn for our skins to match, I confess. It would make it simpler in terms of how we are perceived by others,” Bullock commented. “My sentiments are akin to those of a woman with children of color or a Caucasian mother with Caucasian offspring.”
She and Randall collectively raised her two adopted children. “He embodies the ideals I aspire for my children to adopt,” the actress disclosed.
An insider informed Closer about Randall, “His unwavering dedication to Sandra and the children is unwavering, and she acknowledges this. The children have referred to Bryan as ‘Daddy’ for as long as I can remember, and it continues to bring a smile to his face.”
Delving further into her personal life, Bullock revealed that she and Randall chose not to rush into marriage as their children took precedence. “I do not require a certificate to be a devoted partner, devoted mother,” she stated. “I do not need to be instructed to be ever-present during trying times.
